Danielle is 34 and lives in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a childhood cancer survivor, diagnosed with ALL T-Cell Leukemia when she was 11 1/2 years old. Her diagnosis came the summer after her first year in middle school and treatment lasted for 2 1/2 years following that day. There were lots of ups and downs during treatment, some were medical, some were school related, some were social, and some were personal. However, Danielle had a strong family support system. In a way, her life has come full circle. Danielle is the Tracy’s Kids art therapist in the pediatric hematology/oncology department at The Herman and Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai. She hopes in some way she is able to use her past experience as a patient to better others in their cancer journey. Danielle is now a mother to a baby girl name Logan Rose and is proud to be an inspiration to the JUST TRYAN IT racers.
