Sarah
March 2025
“Sarah is my 4th child and she was doing very well since her birth no health concerns at all till we visited our family on vacation and my mother in law and my wife noticed that she became pale and not active we thought that it may be due to teething but we went to her doctor who advised to do a blood test and she was diagnosed with acute leukemia and as they told me it is a good leukemia as it is responding to treatment but for my child it was aggressive and refractory to treatment as she was not responding to many cycles of chemotherapy and been in and out of the hospital for the last 6 months and she is still fighting her blood cancer, she can’t express her pain and uneasiness to see many new faces every day at hospitals, went to get many spinal tapping treatments, lots of bone marrow samples, has been on many medications and had high blood pressure as well.
“Currently she started a new treatment to make her blood recognize blood cancer cells and attack it. Hopefully she will recover after the treatment. Other than that, we don’t know what the next plan is for her treatment.
“She is only 16 months old now, she can’t stand unsupported and she can’t walk as well but she is very energetic and happy with her siblings.
“We have all been experiencing mixed feelings of confusion, uncertainty, pain but we all hope that God will help her and make her live a happy long life.
“We appropriate all the help and support we received and still receiving from many organisations who Is helping families in that difficult times.”
