Will is Managing Director of Axiom Law where he oversees all operations and service delivery in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Before joining Axiom in 2007, he spent 17 years with Corporate Executive Board where he headed the global sales organization. Will is an avid biker, but has not yet tackled running and swimming competitively. Will and his wife Theresa have five children, all of whom are JUST TRYAN IT competitors.
Carrie completed her first triathlon with her sisters and returned to Bethesda to find other crazy women willing to train and run with her. The rest is history. Carrie has managed in her six years here to find amazing and capable women all willing to run in 20 degree weather while not being chased. A parent of three children, Will, Emily, and Kate, proud wife to Doug, and teacher, Carrie strives to always be part of the solution. Anything is possible when a bond is made between two people.
Ali, a New Jersey native, received her Undergraduate Degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. She loved Maryland and after graduation decided to call it home. She worked for Aon Consulting for seven years as a project manager on large scale hiring projects for Verizon and Merck Pharmaceutical. She holds her MBA in finance from Johns Hopkins University. She and her husband Mike live in Bethesda with their son Matthew and dog Murphy. Ali spends her free time cooking, reading, training for triathlons, and is an active parent in the autism community. She is grateful to help with JTI in honor of Ryan, admires his amazing spirit, and is dedicated to helping families. Tanya is a born and bred Washingtonian. She enjoys the city and all that it has to offer with her two kids (Regan and Kiley), husband (Scott), family and friends. With the encouragement of a group of inspirational women, Tanya has not only been able to tackle some amazing triathlons, but show her kids what hard work and determination can do. She holds an MBA from Marymount University and has worked for companies such as Citibank, MCI and TLC Laser Eye Centers in a variety of marketing positions. Her favorite motto is to lead by example.
Michele is a lead information architect for Geocentric, a Bethesda based web software and interactive service firm. Prior to joining Geocentric, Michele held senior positions at the American Institute of Physics in College Park, MD and Aspen Systems in Rockville, MD. Michele received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and holds a Master of Information Science (MS) degree from Drexel University. She is a mom to three boys, active in her school community and a triathlete.
Sharon was born and raised in the D.C. area. She attended Holy Cross High School and played Division 1 soccer at Villanova University–GO WILDCATS! She is newest member to the Just TRYAN It team, having competed in her first triathlon last year.
After a 10 year career in the IT world, working for companies such as SGI, Marriott, Internet Information Services and Symantec, Sharon decided to “retire” to stay home with her kids. That didn’t last long. In 2004 she launched Monogram Me, a monogramming/gift business with her mother and crossed an item off her bucket list by building the company’s website! When she isn’t working she can be found behind the lens of her camera or on a field, court or course! Sharon is active in her school and church communities. She lives in Rockville with her husband Tony and their three children, Andrea, TJ and Kate.
Mollie was born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. Currently, she manages the Darby household as mother to three fabulous boys, Brennan, Ryan, and Sean. In her past life, she worked for interior architecture firms in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Mollie started running in the fall of 2007 with a group of amazing women. They have inspired one another through many of life’s ups and downs. When Mollie’s middle son, Ryan, was diagnosed with leukemia in December of 2009, they again inspired one another and JUST TRYAN IT was born.
Tim works in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs where he advises individual client families and institutional investors regarding investment policy, asset allocation, portfolio implementation and tax planning strategies. Before joining Goldman Sachs in 2005, he held similar advisory and management positions for eleven years with The Private Bank at Bank of America primarily in their San Francisco, Charlotte and Washington DC offices. Tim and his wife, Amy, live in Potomac MD with their two children, Audrey and Davis, who have both proudly completed the Just TRYAN It triathlon! Tim is an avid runner, cyclist and triathlete in addition to serving as a volunteer coach for basketball, baseball and Girls On The Run of Montgomery County.
Susan Goldberg is the owner of JumpBunch Sports and Fitness for Kids serving nearly 3,000 preschool children in Montgomery County, Maryland. Sue started JumpBunch in 2006 and is a strong advocate of instilling the love of fitness in children. Prior to starting her JumpBunch Franchise, Sue was a lobbyist in Washington DC, working on childhood obesity issues. Sue holds a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in public policy from Rutgers University in New Jersey. An avid runner herself, Sue has completed 6 marathons over the past 5 years. She is married to Phil Goldberg, a partner in the law firm of Shook, Hardy and Bacon, LLP. Their three very active children love taking part in the Just Tryan It races.
Alisa, a jersey girl at heart, has lived in the Washington area since she graduated from University of Maryland (’87) with a B.A. in psychology. She worked in the field while earning a Masters Degree in Social Work (’96). She is actively involved in her community. Alisa and her husband have 3 children Zach (14), Jillian(12) & Lindsay (10) and a great big bernese mountain dog puppy named, Thor God of Thunder. Jillian has been a JTI racer & active fundraiser for the past 3 years. Alisa loves traveling, hot yoga, running, spinning & kick boxing. Being a part of JTI is incredibly inspiring and rewarding.
Todd Fletcher has spent the better part of the last 13 years in brand marketing, most notably with the likes of RedBull, vitaminwater, and Coca-Cola. Recently, he ventured out and started a boutique marketing agency of his own, Fletcher Brand & Arrow. 1 year since moving back into the area from NYC with his wife and two young girls, he hopes to lend his experience to bring increased awareness and interest to the JTI cause.
